INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/80720 Quality performance at UTAS Bandung is the main thing to fulfill customer satisfaction. Improvements to performance quality continue to be made to become the best company in class. One of the performance indicators is the percentage of part scrap, rework and reject (%SRR). In the last three years, the %SRR performance has been in quite good condition and the %SRR in 2022 is 0.73%. UTAS Bandung sets the %SRR target for the next 5 years at 0.5%. So, it is necessary to carry out in-depth analysis to achieve the specified targets. The Core Problem Solving (CPS) method using the Kepner Tregoe Problem Analysis approach is the right choice to achieve the specified targets. Analysis using Pareto diagrams, Ishikawa diagrams (Fishbone diagrams), and why-why analysis helps find the right root cause to get the right solution to improve %SRR performance. %SRR is calculated based on the amount of scrap, rework and reject costs or called as cost of poor quality (COPQ) divided by the number of goods sold to customers. To achieve the 0.5% target in 2027, the minimum improvements made are $81,115 or a minimum of $16,223 each year. The improvements made in this study in the prismatic cell area were the largest Pareto $154,000. From the Pareto diagram analysis that has been carried out, it is known that the problem that will be discussed is related to part number 340902-110 in the amount of $42,000. And the issue raised in this research is related to part damage due to small drill tools amounting to $12,000. After improving the issues raised, the quite good results where the performance of part damage due to small drill tools is only $3,200 in 2023. This means there is a significant improvement from the previous $12,000 in 2022. So, the improvement that has been achieved is $8,800 for one year or improved 73%. This result contributes 54% of the minimum target set annually at $16,223. Meanwhile, the total improvements carried out in 2023 from all activities have been reach $37,223. This figure has exceeded the annual target that has been determined by achieving 230% of the annual target. From the results that have been achieved, the Core Problem Solving (CPS) Method using the Kepner Tregoe Problem Analysis approach is the right choice to achieve the specified target. UTAS Bandung believes that by maximizing the core problem solving method and approach Kepner Tregoe Analysis will achieve the %SRR target of 0.5% in 2027. For this reason, UTAS Bandung focuses on building army of core problem solving in all lines from Manager level to operator level. text
