Summary:Mining equipment have important role in mining activities, started from pioneering, land clearing, overburden digging, overburden loading and overburden transporting until coal producing stage. This study is part of mine plan and mine design on open pit coal mining in B area Kabupaten TP Propinsi KS. Mining equipment is a united of digging equipment, loading equipment, and others equipment that is supporting each other. It means that if one of the equipment breaks down it will impact on production target achievement. Having coal reserve is approximately 1,171,113.26 tons of production per year is 292,778.35 tons and stripping ratio is 5.24, the unit calculation of bulldozer, backhoe and dump truk have not relatively different fluctuation. Recommendation geological analysis, geotechnique hydrology and mining method will influence significanly in mining equipment selection. For overburden handling bulldozer with horse power more than 385 will be used. The type of bulldozer is either Cat D 10 or D 355 A. Additionaly for coal handling, bulldozer with horse power of 320 will be used. The type of bulldozer is either Cat D 7 or D 155 A. The study focuses on selection and unit calculation of mine equipment such as bulldozer, bulldozer,backhoe and dump truk and other supporting equipment.
