Summary:ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> Nowadays, the consumption of packed drinking water (AMDK) is more and more popular in Indonesia, especially in big cities. Several factors have stimulated the consumption of AMDK product are underground water pollution by industries that have been well developed, on the other hand the supply of clean water from PDAM is insufficient in term of quantity and quality is below peoples expectation. As people are more educated and mass media are more developed, people are more concerned about the quality of their drinking water to ensure their healthy. Beside, lifestyle trend of back to nature practically have big contribution in high growth of AMDK contribution. <br /> <br /> <br /> AMDK popularity has spurred AMDK industries and more businessman interested in investing in this industry. But monetary crisis that stricken Indonesia in 1997 has raised production cost and lowered peoples buying power. The competition in AMDK market has become tougher to protect their market share with their own strategies. <br /> <br /> <br /> To expand their business, PT Air Cerdas Ganesa must analyze the prospect of this industry and establish strategies by analyzing external environment with industry environment analysis and internal environment with value chain analysis. From those analysis, if can be identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that can be used in developing proposed strategies based on strengths with opportunities, strengths with threats, weaknesses with opportunities and weaknesses with threats.
