Summary: | Land is a place that is needed to supply community needs. An increase in population
can affect the growth of a region, and impact the limited land supply. This limited
land can be caused by demands for the continuity of community living needs for
settlements. The unavoidable increase in population has given rise to several
problems in allocating space. Purwakarta Regency, especially the Purwakarta
Urban area, is the capital of the Regency which has resulted in urbanization,
according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Purwakarta Regency in 2018,
it was recorded that 1,348 residents came to Purwakarta District. Sourced from the
Purwakarta Regency Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) for 2011 – 2031, there is
a spatial pattern plan in the form of an Urban Settlement Area covering an area of
8161.01 Ha, and a rural residential area plan covering an area of 6576.42 Ha. The
research uses an exploratory type of research to look for the relationship between
the phenomena to be studied between the availability of potential land and housing
demand. Based on the analysis of potential land availability, the Purwakarta urban
area has a potential land area of 1297.56 Ha. So, the direction for providing
housing in the Purwakarta urban area for high potential land is to build housing
with a composition of 3:2:1, while low potential land uses a rental housing system |
