To address these issues, a case study approach was conducted in a hotel building. A total of 15 recycled water utilization scenarios were simulated for two conditions: first, if the building only uses a Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) system, and second, if the building only uses a Greywater Recycling (GWR) system. From the various scenarios tested, 6 utilization scenarios were selected that could not be fulfilled by the RWH system to be simulated by applying the Hybrid Rainwater-Greywater (HRG) system. Simulations were conducted using the Yield After Spillage (YAS) and Yield Before Spillage (YBS) algorithms coded in Python version 3.10.12. Each scenario and system also assessed based on the Greenship Water Conservation (WAC) score. The analysis results show that the RWH system is reliable for 4 specific scenarios, with maximum water savings 9.2%, and WAC Greenship scores ranging from 1-4 points for existing buildings (GEB) and 3-6 points for new buildings (GNB). The GWR system can be used for all scenarios, achieving maximum water savings of up to 33.4%, and obtaining WAC Greenship scores between 1-9 points (GEB) and 1-10 points (GNB). The HRG system was designed to be reliable for all selected scenarios, achieving maximum water savings of up to 33.4%, and achieving WAC Greenship scores between 6-9 points (GEB) and 9-14 points (GNB). Based on the assessment of system reliability, infrastructure requirements, and WAC Greenship scores, it is recommended for existing buildings to implement GWR or HRG systems, while for new buildings, the implementation of HRG systems is preferred. text |
