Summary:The Bandung Basin Metropolitan Area aims to create a world-class urban area as a cultural center, tourism center, and center of national service and creative economic activities, based on higher education and high-tech industries that are competitive and environmentally friendly. This can affect the increase in transportation needs in Bandung City. One of the accesses from the suburban area into the city of Bandung is through Cibiru-Cileunyi Highway. Cibiru-Cileunyi Highway is not possible to be widened due to limited land. Therefore, another solution is needed to overcome congestion apart from the supply side, namely from the demand side. Park and Ride can reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in urban areas as motorists park their private vehicles in suburban areas. This study aims to identify the demand for Park and Ride, develop a Park and Ride implementation scheme, and review the impact of Park and Ride scheme implementation on traffic volume. The methods used in this study are descriptive statistics, cross tabulation analysis, and Volume to Capacity Ratio (VCR) analysis. From this research it can be concluded that the Park and Ride scheme can be potentially developed in the eastern Bandung Basin Metropolitan Area on a designated land, with certain characteristics and preferences according to the community, and the Park and Ride scheme can reduce congestion on the CibiruCileunyi Road section by 17.8%.
