Description
Summary:COVID-19, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, has had severe impacts worldwide since late 2019, leading to increased cases and significant strain on global health systems. To combat the pandemic, various countries implemented social restrictions and quarantines. In Indonesia, large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) were enacted to curb the virus's spread. However, due to vaccination efforts and adherence to health protocols, COVID-19 cases in Indonesia began to decline in January 2022. This pandemic has highlighted the need to reassess health approaches, prompting some countries and cities to develop the Healthy City concept as a response to the crisis. This study explores the role of public space usage and physical activity in the GOR Bung Karno area as an indicator of Healthy City implementation post-pandemic. Findings indicate that while the public spaces in the GOR Bung Karno area support health development, the level of physical activity among the community remains low. Recommendations to enhance public health post-pandemic through the Healthy City concept include efforts to raise public awareness and the development of environmentally friendly infrastructure that supports physical activity.
