To see the information with certain criteria of a database by using SQL (Structured Query Language), so users have to understand SQL structure. In order that the users need not to study SQL anymore, if only to get information of database, it is needed a translator from natural language into SQL format. By this translator, user just use common natural language used daily to get information in a database. <br /> <br /> <br /> The research in this thesis is focused in developing of translation method of natural language into SQL format, thus input for the system need not SQL anymore, but text order of common natural language used daily is sufficient. Natural language that be the input system in this system is fixed Indonesian sentence text, whereas the output is command line in SQL format. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on examination result on 3 databases, word detection method developed in this research can translate correctly about 86 % in average of test sentences given for every database. <br />
