They provide a range of services, from regulating natural processes to offering resources and cultural benefits. Muara Bojong Salawe (MBS), a mangrove rehabilitation area nestled near a bustling port and fish auction, fosters high interaction between humans and the environment. This research aims to: 1) identify and analyze the availability of ecosystem services provided by the mangroves, 2) estimate their economic value, 3) assess community perceptions and participation, and 4) develop sustainable management strategies for Muara Bojong Salawe. The availability of services was gathered through interviews with stakeholders and questionnaires, while economic valuation relied on secondary data. Community perceptions and participation were explored through interviews and questionnaires administered to 100 residents around the estuary, and 7 expert questionnaires informed mangrove management strategies. The Bukhard (2012) ecosystem services matrix approach was employed for availability analysis, and benefit transfer methods based on secondary data were used for valuation. Community perception and participation levels were assessed using a simple multi-attribute rating technique. The relationships between perception, respondent characteristics, and participation were analysed using the Spearman Rank non-parametric test. The formulation of a management strategy for the MBS was guided by the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method. The research revealed that the availability of ecosystem services exceeds community needs for each component of ecosystem services in the rehabilitated area. The estimated total economic value of these services is IDR 2.808.594.411.642 (approximately USD 181.738.993,89) per year. Although the community perceived the socio-cultural, ecological, and physical, functions highly, their perception of management and socio-economic functions were moderate. Community participation in resource management remains low, with very weak and non-significant correlations between perception and participation levels. The research suggests prioritizing these three areas for optimal management and sustained ecosystem services:1) Participatory management and monitoring. 2) Building human resources through training and outreach. 3) Training in administrative and financial skills, along with effective implementation of ecotourism programs. By implementing these strategies, the MBS can ensure the long-term sustainability of its mangroves and the continued flow of ecosystem services to the surrounding community.<p align="justify"> text
