This terminology refers to interconnection of manufacturing system, which later on known as Internet of Things. As Indonesia embrace the challenge in 2018, PT XYZ, an Indonesia aerospace manufacturing company start the initiative at 2020, by configure digital council. This is to facilitate several automation and digitalization initiative within the organization. The team member is part timer from cross function department, who passionate and occupy by self-develop skill on it. Recent challenge of growth of customer demand, following the increase of Airbus, the final customer product of PT XYZ, management view an opportunity to be cost competitive organization company, by develop more focus on automation and digitalization. However, a challenge for company in low-cost country, require proper strategy approach. Based on organization design theory, strategy and organization structure, have correlation. This study explores the propose strategy and organizational design for the company. The research also considers industry 4.0 maturity measurement as first step of the analysis, by utilize IMPULS maturity assessment. A strategy formulation follows six steps actions, support by focus group discussion activity and QSPM analysis. Further decision-making analysis also performed by AHP approach, then support with interview data analysis. Based on research execution, the study able to produce four strategies, with priority put on define organization structure and develop personnel skill, then follow by adapt technology to support human task, and strengthen local and inter-company network. Organization structure also reviewed, with three important actions, include successfully define future organization with hybrid structure. Finally, research close by a validation measurement of IMPULS maturity assessment, to validate the increase performance, as the result of strategy formulation and organization structure design. The result of this research will help PT XYZ drive automation and digitalization initiative with effective process, ensure challenge of growth will successfully bring the company to best competitive aerospace manufacturing firm in Indonesia. text
