PDAM Tirtamarta has 9 Clean Water Treatment Installations. Among the 9 IPAs, one of them is Bedog IPA. The Bedog IPA raw water supply itself comes from Kartamantul wells and SPAM. IPA Bedog has 15 wells. The process of processing the raw water supply is currently through the process of aeration, sedimentation, filtration, and is stored in reservoirs and then distributed to the public. The condition of raw water quality in Bedog WTP itself contains quite high fe and mn, but the treated water shows fe and mn levels that have met the quality standards. IPA Bedog serves 6 sub-districts in the City of Yogyakarta with a total served population of 107,808 people. For now, the Bedog IPA has sufficient water supply to serve the 6 sub-districts. But for the next 20 years, it is necessary to increase the debit by increasing the supply of raw water from surface water because the raw water discharge through groundwater decreases every year, while the amount of water demand increases. Therefore, it is necessary to build a new processing unit because it takes raw water from the Bedog River. based on the alternative that has been selected, namely the addition of intake building, housing pump, bar screen units, and slow sand filter. text
