Description
Summary:In the current digital era, the rapid advancement of digital technology has facilitated the access and distribution of digital images, thereby increasing the risk of unauthorised duplication and modification of original works. To address this issue, the technique of watermarking has been implemented as a solution to protect copyright. This dissertation specifically explores the use of the Hadamard matrix in watermarking techniques. The Hadamard matrix is applied to transform image data into the frequency domain, where the watermark is inserted. This process is followed by an inverse transformation to restore the image with the embedded watermark. Testing results indicate that images with watermarks inserted using the Hadamard matrix method, and images post watermark extraction, maintain high quality. Furthermore, the resilience of the watermark against various types of attacks is assessed to be good from both objective and subjective perspectives for visible watermarks, and good from a subjective standpoint for invisible watermarks.
