REDESIGN OF CARINGIN SPORTS FACILITIES AS AN INCLUSIVE, INTEGRATED, AND CONVENIENT AREA IN THE CITY OF BANDUNG

Sports facilities are facilities that can be used and utilized in the implementation of sports activities and physical education which can then be developed into a sports area as a public space to carry out various sports activities by providing sports facilities and supporting facilities. Caringin sports facilities are one of the sports facilities provided by the Bandung City Government. However, the utilization of these sports facilities is not optimal because there are only tennis and futsal courts. In addition, there is a problem of limited land to provide sports facilities in new areas. There is encouragement from people who are starting to love sports and are aware of the importance of exercising to optimize sports facilities on the available land. Therefore, the redesign of Caringin sports facilities, Bandung City was carried out to overcome these problems. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative method and fragmental design method with data collection stages through observation by reviewing the area based on land use, building form and mass, circulation, pedestrian paths, supporting activities, open space, and existing signage. In addition, literature studies and interviews were also conducted, then analysis, and formulation of design plans. This redesign is carried out by considering normative criteria, components, and principles, the results of site analysis and analysis of potential problems which are then realized in design policies including vision, mission, goals, objectives, principles, and design concepts and are realized in the form of space programs and three-dimensional design of the Caringin sports area, Bandung City. The design of the sports area is carried out to create an inclusive sports area to be accessed and used by everyone, accessible or easily accessible both physically and non-physically, and can provide comfort with facilities and a shady atmosphere, so that it can be a solution to the problem of providing sports facilities in the city of Bandung.
