Art, as a cultural manifestation, meets aesthetic standards and conveys meanings through expressive symbols. Performing arts contribute significantly to tourism and economic growth. Globalization and modernization have shifted perceptions and preservation of traditional culture, leading to a decline in traditional arts consumption, especially among youth influenced by western culture. Jakarta, rich in cultural diversity and history, can promote national cultural heritage through performing arts. Architectural responses must integrate architecture and performing arts to create innovative spaces. The performing arts center design project aims to introduce, preserve, and educate the community about performing arts, enhancing harmonious communities by developing traditional and modern arts. It includes training, education, performance facilities, and public spaces to foster performing arts growth. This project seeks to sustain and elevate Indonesia's cultural heritage, reviving interest in traditional and modern performing arts through collaboration between art, culture, and architecture. By creating these spaces, the project not only preserves but also breathes new life into cultural practices, ensuring their relevance and appeal to future generations, thereby securing a vibrant cultural legacy for Indonesia. text |
