A dense settlement is a residential or residential area that has a population of more than 500 people per hectare. In dense residential areas, public open spaces are difficult to find, so children do not have access to play facilities. The significant number of children in Indonesia's overall population shows the need for special attention to this issue. Essentially, play is the core of children's lives. Child Friendly Cities (KLA) are districts/cities whose development systems are based on children's rights. Therefore, the absence of a play area means the inadequacy of complying with the provisions of the law. The assessment of KLA achievements in the infrastructure sector in Bandung City itself is still far from optimal, reaching only 48%. From the explanation above, the idea arose to create a project with the aim of creating a public space that could be used by children from the dense Wastukencana residential area to fill their free time in developing their cognitive and psychological abilities. The architectural approach used focuses on architecture for children or designs that are specifically adapted to meet the needs and interests of children. This project will be initiated by the Bandung City Government to optimize social facilities that will serve the dense residential community. The planned construction location is located on Jalan Wastukencana, Tamansari, Bandung Wetan District, Bandung City and has an existing function in the form of a flower market. Therefore, the project will be carried out by combining commercial, recreational, and educational building typologies. It is hoped that this 3,613 m2 area of land can become a public space that can synergize well and complement other social facilities that have been built around the site. text
