Description
Summary:Kota Baru Parahyangan is an independent city that does not yet have shopping center facilities in it. A shopping center is needed considering how far local people have access to the nearest shopping center, namely, Bandung. A Lifestyle Center typology exists to meet these needs. The Lifestyle Center was realized not only as a conventional building, but as a new facility that also meets the needs of biophilia, namely, human connection with nature. This approach integrates nature into the design, creating harmony that unites potential users of the project with nature with a biophilic design approach. This is supported by the potential of Kota Baru Parahyangan which still has a strong natural attraction. The aim of this project is to present a modern shopping center that is accessible in the distance dimension to support commercial and recreational activities. In addition, the Lifestyle Center aims to provide an architectural representation that depicts a good relationship between modern commercial functions and nature, and presents a shopping experience that is integrated with nature and open space. Through a combination of innovative concepts and the urgency to provide modern shopping facilities, biophilic design is also expected to increase function and commercial value as has been proven in various studies.
