One alternative to address this issue is by introducing a vertical burial method, namely cremation. However, cremation itself poses challenges, such as producing high carbon emissions. Aside to that, crematoriums tend to face acceptance issues among certain segments of Indonesian society. Therefore, a Green and Multisensory approach has been adopted in the design of this crematorium. The Green approach mainly involves a new cremation method called cryomation, producing zero carbon emissions. The Multisensory approach aims to make the presence of the crematorium more acceptable to the Indonesian community. text |
