In Bandung, the interest in performing arts continues to grow and has become an attraction of the "creative city" recognised by UNESCO. However, this potential has not been properly accommodated. The lack of infrastructure that does not meet the standards, especially in terms of acoustics, is a major factor in this problem. In fact, room acoustics is one of the main factors that support good performing arts performances. In response to these problems, an architectural project was designed that aims to accommodate the potential of the performing arts in the city of Bandung to the maximum in accordance with acoustic space standards. The approaches taken to realise this include Environmental Acoustics, Architectural Acoustics, Designing Creative Space and The Architecture of Creativity: Toward a Causal Theory of Creative Workspace Design. Standardisation of acoustic spaces does not reduce or limit architects in design. In designing a good acoustic space, it is necessary to consider the various characteristics of sound in an enclosed space. Such as reflection, absorption, diffraction, and various other sound properties. It is also necessary to have a design that pays attention to noise control, both from outside and inside the room. In addition, there is a need for a common space for artists to develop innovative and collaborative ideas among various arts. text |
