Description
Summary:From a sorrowful event caused by the loss of loved ones, the author encounters a philosophically rich concept about self-surrender, namely Amor Fati. Amor Fati is a Latin phrase that translates to "Love Fate." Through the contemplation process in Amor Fati, the author tries to find a turning point to rise and interpret it positively, making it a source of strength and resilience to continue life naturally until peace can be found in happiness. Islam, the author's religion, which teaches surrender, has a strong influence on Amor Fati as Stoic philosophy, which also encourages full acceptance of everything that happens in life, both good and bad. Thus, Amor Fati as the conceptual basis of the artwork becomes richer and deeper. The creation of art enriched by Islamic spiritualism uses experimental and exploratory methods with pouring techniques and makes pouring medium and acrylic paint the main media. The goal is to find the right art flow concept and approach for a life experience that leaves a deep impression, through the process and results of creating Amor Fati expressionist works in the spiritual dimension of abstract expressionist art, and to be able to express feelings or emotions related to a deeper understanding of life acceptance. The result is an abstract expressionist painting as the most appropriate idiom to convey inner turmoil that contains a spiritual dimension as a manifestation of self-surrender.
