Nearly 75% of stroke survivors experience functional impairments, and 15-30% have severe disabilities. Only 10% of stroke sufferers can recover almost perfectly, 25% of patients recover with minor impairments, and 40% of patients experience moderate to severe impairments that require special care. Various studies state that motivation and family support are important factors in the effectiveness of post-stroke patient recovery. One method to increase motivation is through progress tracking and goal setting. The most frequently affected parts by stroke are the legs and hands. There are a lot of hand exercise devices available on the market, but there is less attention on leg exercise devices. Therefore, a device is designed to help users track exercises in the leg area in the form of a knee pad and soft brace using sensors. text
