Description
Summary:In order to improve the infrastructure in the Aek Latong area, the government is relocating the Aek Latong road, which requires a bridge to span a valley at STA 7+400. The bridge planned for this relocation will be a PCI-girder type bridge with portal piers. The design will include the superstructure, substructure, and foundation of the bridge. Given that Aek Latong is an earthquake-prone area, the bridge is also being designed to withstand seismic activity. The entire planning process adheres to relevant regulations, including SNI (Indonesian National Standards), AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials), and Caltrans (California Department of Transportation standards). The outcome of this planning will be detailed designs for each element and technical drawings that can guide the construction process. At the end of the planning process, there will also be a comparison regarding the effectiveness of the type of piers and girder spacing used, with a reference bridge that has a girder spacing of 2.4 meters and uses a single pier.
