Summary:Traffic accident numbers in Indonesia 2002-2006 was occurred increasing. It indicates that DISHUB, an organization that has responsibility to inspect roadworthiness tests, does not yet exactly do tests appropriately with good procedures. Based on the fact above, this research is triggered to complete the existing roadworthiness tests in Indonesia. The methodology of this research is study of literature, gathering data, comparing roadworthiness tests in Indonesia, Ireland and Australia then analyze the weaknesses of roadworthiness tests in Indonesia and arrange roadworthiness tests on AKAP bus for Indonesia. On this research, analysis is conducted by comparing roadworthiness tests from the third countries above. Results from the analysis are some items especially items that can cause high consequence of failure, are very specific when they inspected vehicles. This research also will produce a procedure of roadworthiness tests on bus for Indonesia. Conclusions of this research are the roadworthiness test in Indonesia is not yet do effectively, roadworthiness tests in Ireland and Australia are very effective, suggestion of roadworthiness test procedure for AKAP bus on this final project can be applied step by step in Indonesia and it can decrease traffic accident numbers.
