One of the activity that tend to go unnoticed but can affect all those three aspects is the food waste generated at the consumption stage. The consumption behavior of the younger generation has unique characteristics, and the campus as an environment dominated by this generation has an important role not only in handling food waste, but also in preventing these behaviors. Therefore, campuses must play a comprehensive role in food waste management. This research was conducted using a mixed method approach to formulate various alternative food waste management policies with a behavioral approach by understanding the conditions and causes of food waste behavior and the condition of food waste management in the campus environment. The results showed that there is a culture of food waste behavior among students of Institut Teknologi Bandung, both on and off campus, which can be caused by various factors, including consumption habits and lack of awareness or knowledge. In addition, existing food waste management efforts are still focused on the final or downstream stages and minimal prevention from the beginning. This research concludes with the proposal of a comprehensive policy alternative to address the problem of food waste on campus. The proposed policy includes preventive measures to reduce food waste generation and more effective management strategies. These measures are expected to support more optimal food waste management efforts in the ITB campus environment. text
