Summary: | PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (PT. KAI) is a state-owned company that manages the railway system in Indonesia, playing a crucial role in providing transportation services for millions of people. To support its operations, PT. KAI operates various facilities, including depots and balai yasa, which handle the maintenance and repair of trains. Depots are smaller facilities for basic maintenance and minor repairs, while balai yasa are larger facilities for comprehensive maintenance and repairs. This study focuses on Balai Yasa Yogyakarta and the maintenance management of the CC 206 locomotive. The critical subsystem identified is the Diesel subsystem with critical components: Injector Nozzle, Inverter, Seal Output, and Retainer. Based on the calculation of annual needs using the Poisson process, the component requirements are 21 sets of Injector Nozzles, 31 units of Inverters, 42 units of Seal Outputs, and 23 units of Retainers. The stock management strategy using the min-max stock method and reorder point indicates the minimum and maximum requirements. For minimum stock, the components Injector Nozzle, Inverter, Seal Output, and Retainer require 22 sets, 31 units, 15 units, and 12 units respectively, and for maximum stock, 32 sets, 36 units, 21 units, and 14 units respectively. Cost analysis shows variations in costs related to different stock management strategies. Injector Nozzle requires costs ranging from Rp. 304,650,234 to Rp. 464,228,928, Inverter from Rp. 5,430,625,632 to Rp. 6,306,532,992, Seal Output from Rp. 33,000,000 to Rp. 92,400,000, and Retainer from Rp. 371,513,832 to Rp. 712,068,178. This study concludes that an appropriate stock management strategy can minimize maintenance costs and ensure the availability of critical components for the operation of the CC 206 locomotive. |
