Summary: | Lamajang Tourism Village was inaugurated as a pilot tourism village in by the Regent of Kabupaten Bandung through No. 556.42/kop.71-DISPOPAR/2011 with the status of a cultural tourism village. However, after 13 years as a tourist village, Lamajang Tourism Village has stagnated with its status as a pilot village. On the other hand, Lamajang Tourism Village offers natural and cultural beauty that can attract tourists such as Cikondang Traditional Village, Larang Forest, rafting, and so on. This is what makes the author interested in conducting research at Lamajang Tourism Village with the aim of conducting an environmentally-based sustainable tourism study. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the aim of describing existing phenomena or reality, whether natural or human engineering by paying attention to the quality, characteristics, and interrelationships between activities to be studied as a whole and producing descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from behavior. The data collection method used by the author is by conducting interviews, field observations, and literature studies. The analysis method used is content analysis of tourism conditions by looking at the 4A factors (attractions, accessibility, amenity, and ansilari), environmental sustainability analysis with GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) guidelines in the environmental sustainability section, and SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opprtunities, Threat).
From the research results with content analysis, it was found that the development of Lamajang Tourism Village in terms of tourism conditions has great potential, especially in attractions, where one of the main attractions is the Cikondang Traditional Village as a cultural heritage of local wisdom that must be preserved because it is closely related to protecting nature and the environment. However, of particular concern is accessibility, where the condition of the road to the location of the Tourism Village is damaged and services and information are inadequate. Then from the aspect of environmental sustainability, it was found that nature conservation, one of which is the existence of the Larang Forest in Cikondang Traditional Village as an area to preserve the environment and nature. And finally, through SWOT analysis, the author conducts development strategies and programs including improving road access to tourist villages, increasing the capacity of tourist village managers, increasing the potential for environmentally-based sustainable tourism and special interest tourism in ODTW, and building cooperation networks with various parties for the sustainable development of Lamajang Tourism Village.
