Therefore, increasing the productivity of the dural line through the implementation of an automation system is necessary. Previous research has developed an automation system for hanger dipping. However, this automation system is still heuristic with many relaxations. This research aims to develop an optimal scheduling system for hanger dipping and an automation system capable of executing the schedule. Development is carried out using the Prototype for X methodology, consisting of three stages: frame, build, and test. This research produces three main outputs: a scheduling system based on Python terminal and an automation system in the form of PLC programming, system architecture design, and a prototype dural line equipped with the developed system. Testing shows that the developed system can perform hanger dipping within the minimum and maximum dipping times with a 38,93% improvement compared to the existing system. The integration of both systems can be done smoothly with a response time and memory of 0.56 seconds and 0.014 MB, respectively. The implementation of the developed system has positive benefits for PTDI, such as improved part quality, minimized flowtime, and increased PTDI's INDI 4.0 index to 3.5. This demonstrates that the implementation of the developed system can enhance the productivity of PTDI's dural line and support the incoming potential projects. text |
