Description
Summary:Health services are the right of every person guaranteed in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Hospitals are one example of the implementation of service rights recognized by the Law and its design is one of the factors that influence the patient's experience in the hospital, non medical aspects such as safety and comfort for patients are also emphasized. There were many approaches pursued to achieve effectiveness in the aspect of accelerating the duration of patient recovery, some of them are in the form of natural elements and family support and the surrounding environment. The hospital garden as a green open space providing fresh air and natural ventilation, as a provider of natural light and lighting, does not only function as a refresher from the often gloomy hospital atmosphere, but can also be used as a means of refreshment for people who are taking turns caring for sick members or just coming to the hospital to do outpatient care. The purpose of this research is to streamline the function of hospital gardens through product design with healing environment concept which can be a means of improving the quality of life of the medical care community in the hospital. With the development of this rest facility, it is expected to create a space where patients, caregivers and families can interact to provide support to each other.
