Summary: | The geographic location and large population make Java Island a disaster-prone area
with various threats, including earthquakes, landslides, floods, and volcanic eruptions.
Based on historical data, these four types of disasters caused economic losses of
Rp395.050.291.044.408,00 in the last 40 years. Therefore, calculating potential losses
due to these four disasters is an important thing to do to avoid sustainable economic
losses in the future. The type of loss that will be discussed specifically in this project
is a direct loss. The process of calculating losses begins by collecting disaster risk maps
to determine the risk index parameters. Then, the process continues by identifying the
building taxonomy structure using the GED4ALL Building Taxonomy method, which
has been simplified for the observation parameters. The threat index data and building
taxonomic structure obtained will be used as variables in the equation for calculating
the risk of direct loss due to disasters using the Damage and Loss Assessment (DaLA)
method. In the final step, the data and information obtained from the three previous
processes will be presented in a WebGIS-based dashboard. The results of loss risk
calculations show that earthquake disasters have the highest loss potential with a total
loss value of Rp195.322.940.153.487,00, followed by landslides and floods with a
total loss value of Rp117.043.904.494.640,00 and Rp12.329.442.055.227,00. The
lowest potential loss is shown by the type of volcanic eruption disaster, with a total
loss value of Rp68.006.471.074,00. Overall, the main outputs produced in this project
can be used for further processes in the disaster risk management system, especially at
the risk analysis and evaluation step. |
