Summary: | The Indonesian government plans to increase oil and gas production to reach the target of 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD with the aim of transitioning energy to new, renewable energy (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, 2022). One of the oil and gas producing fields is the Foxtrot Field which is located in Anambas Islands Regency, Riau Islands. Geologically, this field is located in the West Natuna Basin and has several reservoir targets, one of which is located in the Arang Formation. Further research must be carried out in order to determine the characteristics, quality and quantity of the reservoir in the Arang Formation, precisely in the Middle Arang X interval
The results of the research show that there are 2 facies associations, namely shore/ace and offshore transition, in the research interval and these two facies associations produce an interpretation of shallow marine depositional environments. Sequence stratigraphic analysis produces one sequence boundary, one maximum flooding surface and one transgressive surface. Petrophysical analysis produces petrophysical values in the form of shale volume, effective porosity and water saturation in the SBl-FSl.1 reservoir interval of 0.46; 0.17;
0.68. The cutoff limits for this research interval are 0.55 for shale volume, 0.09 for effective porosity, and 0.70 for water saturation. Calculation of the volume of the SB1-FSl .1 reservoir produces a hydrocarbon resource value in the form of gas of 56BCF.
