To be able to meet these clean water needs, Perumda Tirta Patriot has 2 WSS, which are Teluk Buyung WSS and Jatisari WSS. Teluk Buyung WSS has 3 WTPs, the typical WTP 1 and WTP 2 with a total capacity of 400 L/s and WTP 3 with a capacity of 250 L/s. In this report, the author focuses on discussing WTP 1 and WTP 2 at Teluk Buyung WSS. Based on the Bekasi City Regional Plan Target until 2031, the level of drinking water service is 55%. Therefore, it is calculated that the amount of capacity required to meet the 2031 target is 1073 L/s. Currently, the used capacity of WTP 1 and WTP 2 Teluk Buyung is 306 L/s. Due to land constraints and in order to still meet the target, the capacity increase at IPA 1 and IPA 2 is only up to 506 L/s. The uprating option was chosen because it saves development costs compared to building a new IPA, saves the required land, and the construction time is faster. The uprating method will be carried out in order to meet the design criteria and to be able to overcome the problems in the existing conditions. The raw water source for Teluk Buyung WTP comes from a secondary channel originating from the Bekasi River in the Bekasi watershed which has a reliable discharge of 138 million m3 /year. The configuration of WTP 1 and WTP 2 treatment units are coagulation with hydraulic tumbling, vertical baffled flocculator, sedimentation tube settler, dual-media filter, and disinfection. Capacity increase planning begins with an evaluation of existing conditions with design criteria according to the literature. It is known that the flocculation unit, sedimentation unit, and filtration unit still do not meet the design criteria. Then the capacity increase will be carried out on the unit by changing dimensioning of the unit. The design will be detailed with technical drawings and financial analysis. text |
