The city is one of the most highly mobile areas in the country, with millions of people commuting daily for work, school, and various activities. This high level of activity and mobility contributes to the complex dynamics of urban life in Jakarta, including an increased risk of traffic accidents. Traffic accidents are often attributed solely to human factors, neglecting the significant impact of environmental factors. These environmental factors include the day and time of the incident, weather conditions, road function, and land use, all of which can influence the occurrence of traffic accidents. Research on traffic accidents in urban Jakarta from 2019 to 2023 indicates that environmental factors such as the day of the incident, the time of the incident, weather conditions, road function, road class, road type, road width, road geometry, and land use significantly contribute to traffic accidents. However, the influence of these factors is not consistent throughout the period studied. This inconsistency suggests that a comprehensive understanding of traffic accidents in Jakarta's urban areas requires considering both human and environmental factors. text |
