Although it is designed to measure current velocity, ADCP also measures echo intensity. ADCP must be calibrated by direct sampling of suspended sediments. Empirical equation developed in Meldorf Bight of German North Sea is used to convert this echo intensity into suspended sediments concentration. Empirical equation is evaluated by comparing ADCP estimation results to direct sampling results. The results show that the absolute average error = 0,06 kg/m3, relative average error = 74%, and discrepancy factor of 2 = 64%. Considering such errors and discrepancies, empirical equation constants based on measurement in Meldorf Bight is applicable in Muara Gembong. <br /> text
