Important efforts made to develop agroforestry land need to be supported by data on the combination of plants to be planted for the successful development of agroforestry areas. The combination of plants chosen must have characteristics that can act as protective plants, shade-giving plants, and resist erosion on the land. The aim of this research is to determine the combination of tree species by calculating the relationship between tree characteristics, namely crown and trunk, and the rate of infiltration in community forest stands. The soil's ability to absorb water can be measured by calculating the infiltration rate using a double ring infiltrometer. This measurement was carried out to see the effect of tree stand characteristics on the soil's ability to absorb water. The research results show that each different tree type has a different infiltration rate which affects the hydrological function of the soil. Tree types that have a good infiltration rate are indicated by the characteristics of a dense crown and large diameter. The order of trees that have a good infiltration rate is Melinjo (Gnetum gnemon), Durian (Durio zibethinus), Durian (Durio zibethinus), Teak (Tectonia grandis) and Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria). After conducting a correlation analysis test, it was found that canopy density and stem diameter had a positive relationship with infiltration rate, with the regression equation model Y = 2.991+ 0.09X1+0.016X2-0.035X3 (R²= 0.83) text
