Tasks to be done include wastewater sample transportation, filtration in a suitable reactor, and filtrate absorbance measurement for analysis. As a solution, a system of portable filter reactor with spectrophotometer is developed. The filter reactor is implemented using beaker glass, PTC heater, magnetic stirrer, and peristaltic pump, capable of filtering up to 250 mL of sample at a time with variable temperature (25 – 55o C), stirring speed (0 – 2000 rpm), and flow rate (0.2 – 1.8 mL/s). The spectrophotometer is implemented using TSL1401CL CCD linear array sensor and halogen lamp, capable of measuring absorbance in visible light spectrum up to 1.25 a.u. with minimum accuracy of 88.13% for peak wavelength and 90% for peak absorbance. text
