Digital Signature is one of the method that can be used to guarantee the validity of document and also authenticating the identity of the signer. For the signature to be valid, its need a digital certificate that issued by a trusted party and managed by the Public Key Infrastructure. At Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), digital documents are also widely used for various needs, such as student transcripts and electronic diplomas. These documents are digitally signed using ITB's digital signature application. However, this application has limitations, such as not being integrated with collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, which is commonly used at ITB, and only supporting PDF format. This thesis discusses the implementation of a server-side digital signing component that allows users to sign documents from anywhere and at any time without needing to manage their own keys. The implementation ensures the confidentiality of each user's private key and supports the signing of documents containing sensitive data. Additionally, the implementation can be integrated with web clients like Microsoft Teams by utilizing authentication from Microsoft Entra ID. text |
