The development of vehicular communication technology requires a flexible testing
environment to evaluate and optimize network performance. Software Defined
Vehicular Network (SDVN) offers an innovative solution by separating the control
and data planes, enabling dynamic and programmable network management. This
research develops an integrated interface and automation for an SDVN testbed
based on mininet-wifi and Simulation of Urban Mobility (SUMO), simplifying
experiments and enhancing the accuracy of network evaluation.
The methodology includes automatic network configuration, data collection, and a
user-friendly interface. This testbed leverages SDN and vehicular communication
standards, allowing for realistic urban mobility simulations. Analysis shows that
this interface reduces setup time, minimizes human errors, and improves the
repeatability of test scenarios. Additionally, it makes testing more intuitive and
accessible.
In the long term, this SDVN testbed is expected to contribute to a smarter and more
connected transportation ecosystem and can be applied to other areas such as
wireless sensor networks and smart city networks.
In conclusion, developing an integrated interface and automation for the SDVN
testbed based on mininet-wifi and SUMO enhances the efficiency and accuracy of
vehicular network testing, paving the way for further innovations in vehicular
communication technology. |
