Summary: | Digital transformation is the process of adopting and utilizing digital technology
to change how businesses operate, interact with customers, and deliver value. It
involves rethinking traditional business models to enhance efficiency,
competitiveness, and customer orientation in the digital era.
There has been a development of various types of modern applications that
integrate diverse user needs into one platform. These applications not only serve
as e-commerce platforms but also provide other services such as messaging,
digital payments, package delivery, online transportation, and even food delivery
services.
E-commerce mobile applications have revolutionized the way consumers shop
and businesses operate. These applications provide a platform for businesses to
sell their products and services directly to consumers, bypassing traditional retail
channels. They offer a convenient, personalized, and seamless shopping
experience, enabling consumers to shop anytime, anywhere. Features such as
product search, reviews, secure payment options, and real-time order tracking
enhance the user experience. Furthermore, they provide businesses with valuable
consumer data, enabling targeted marketing and improved customer service.
However, challenges such as data security, privacy concerns, and maintaining
user engagement persist. Future research and development in this field aim to
address these issues, making e-commerce mobile applications an integral part of
the global retail landscape.
Applications should also consider the social impact of their operations in the
local market. This includes corporate social responsibility, such as empowering
the local community, preserving the environment, and supporting social initiatives
that have a positive impact. Since internet connectivity may vary in local markets,
applications should be designed to operate efficiently even in unstable or slow
network conditions. Applications should provide training and support to local
merchants who may not be very familiar with e-commerce technology. This helps
them manage their businesses effectively.
iv
However, to date, these applications have not yet covered the traditional market,
which is a crucial source of income for small-scale traders. In Indonesia,
traditional markets are still dominated by traders who are not familiar with
technology, preferring to transact directly and interact face-to-face with
customers. Through real-time ordering and delivery systems, applications have
the potential to connect small traders in traditional markets with potential buyers
outside the market. Thus, applications can help increase the income of small
traders and expand their market coverage.
Furthermore, providing valuable consumer data to businesses enables targeted
marketing and improved customer service. However, challenges such as data
security, privacy concerns, and maintaining user engagement persist. Future
research and development in this field aim to address these issues, making e-
commerce mobile applications an integral part of the national retail landscape.
It is hoped that these digital applications can facilitate real-time and interactive
product information and consumer needs. Merchants have the convenience of
displaying their product listings online, while consumers have the freedom to
view, select items, and communicate directly to inquire about product
specifications or availability. It is expected that this will streamline the
transaction process between merchants and consumers online.
In the development of cyber security infrastructure, application performance
security is maintained through cloud analytics services such as Google Cloud
Armor, which includes API Defense and ReCaptcha Enterprise. The selection of
the primary database is tailored to the requirements, while API Gateways, such as
GCP API Gateway, are used to manage and secure access to microservices,
configuration management using Ansible to achieve optimal efficiency and
coordination. With this foundation, the design architecture ensures efficiency,
scalability, and high availability in subsequent development.
This application is a platform that can be accessed through various devices and
displays products from traditional merchants. The purpose of this e-commerce is
to support the government and society in increasing the income of merchants and
the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the government, with the hope of
improving the welfare of the merchants. |
