Description
Summary:Hydrogen is a promising alternative fuel for substituting conventional fuels such as oil, gas, and coal. This is because hydrogen is environmentally and its source can be supplied either from renewable or non-renewable sources.

One of the methods for producing hydrogen is through CO2 methane reforming (CMR). CMR consists of two reactions. Reforming of methane is first reaction. This reaction is operated on endothermic condition. Second reaction is water-gas shift that is on exothermic condition.

Conventionally the production of hydrogen is conducted in a tubular reactor. There is new innovation in production of hydrogen through membrane reactor to increase production flow of hydrogen. The evaluations were conducted by comparing the performance conventional process and membrane reactor at the same operation condition. The results show that the conversion value nanosil membrane reactor is higher than ones porous vycor obtained in membrane reactor and obtained in fixed-bed.
