The profile used in ITB Steel Sculpture is a profile that comes from producers in Indonesia. Apart from that, benchmark calculations will also be made for pre-qualification connections with the Bolted Unstiffened Extended End-Plate Connection type using profiles commonly used in Indonesia. The benchmark created will provide the Bolted Unstiffened Extended End-Plate Connection configuration requirements for various profile variations, loads and bolt qualities commonly used in Indonesia. The design results for ITB Steel Sculpture show that there are a wide variety of connection types that can be used in structural elements. Each connection has different working capabilities and functions according to the force that is to be transmitted to the connection. By reviewing the process of making benchmark prequalified joints, it can be shown that profiles in Indonesia cannot be used as components in prequalified joints due to the strict regulations contained in AISC 358-16. Therefore, a built-up profile is required if you want to build prequalified connections for an SMF system that meet the specified requirements. text |
