Description
Summary:The construction of MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) as a solution to the high mobility needs in Jakarta requires a comprehensive analysis. The construction of this massive underground structure, particularly related to the use of retaining walls, can be analyzed using finite element methods, either through 2D modeling or 3D modeling. However, 2D modeling tends to yield greater deformation results compared to 3D due to the influence of plane strain modeling. Therefore, it is more recommended to conduct 3D modeling to provide results that are more representative of field conditions. Additionally, the stability analysis of the MRT underground structure should not only review the impact of the station but also include the station entrances to obtain a more comprehensive analysis result. In this study, the deep excavation analysis of the MRT reviewed is the Kota Station by considering the impact of existing buildings in a densely populated area. 3D analysis modeling is used by including the construction of entrances which will be analyzed to determine the impact of the entrance construction on the deflection of retaining walls and soil settlement around the construction area. Contour maps of soil settlement are also obtained to estimate the influence distance of soil settlement from the MRT Kota Station construction area.
