Self-medication consultation services at pharmacies can be one solution to prevent medication errors. In its implementation, pharmacists have the right to receive proper appreciation so that consultation services can run optimally. This research aims to determine the willingness to pay (WTP) of the people of Bandung Raya for self-medication consultation services at pharmacies and to analyze the factors that influence this, i.e., sociodemographics, experience, and public perception. This research involved 424 respondents domiciled in Bandung Raya who were obtained using a non-probability sampling method, namely convenience sampling. The results showed that 75.71% of respondents in this study stated that they were willing to pay for self-medication consultation services at pharmacies, while the other 24.29% were not willing. There are various amounts that respondents are willing to spend, namely under IDR 10,000 (6.92%), IDR 10,000 - IDR 20,000 (34.59%), IDR 21,000 - IDR 30,000 (23.9%), IDR 31,000 - IDR 40,000 (3.77%), IDR 41,000 - IDR 50,000 (18.87%, and above IDR 50,000 (11.95%). The distribution of willingness to pay for self-medication consultation services at pharmacies based on sociodemographics is dominated by young people (77.92%) on the age factor, women (76.89%) on the gender factor, Bandung Regency (78.26%) on the domicile factor, Bachelor/ S1 (77%) in the last education factor, and income category > 3,500,000 in the monthly income factor. Willingness to pay for self-medication consultation services in pharmacies, on the experience factor is dominated by respondents who have had consultation experience (77,24%) while on the perception factor is dominated by respondents with positive perceptions (76,2%). Statistical analysis results on the age and perception factors showed significance (p<0.05). From this research, it can be concluded that the majority of the people of Bandung Raya are willing to pay for self-medication consultation services at pharmacies with a nominal value in the range of IDR 10,000 - IDR 20,000. The factors that influence WTP are age and perception. text |
