Summary: | The Indonesian government has issued Law No. 33/2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantees and several subsequent regulations to guarantee halal products, including food. These various regulations are not only guarantees the safety of muslim consumers in Indonesia, which is the largest in the world, but also increase market competitiveness both locally, regionally and globally. Apart from that, food must be thayyib that is healthy and safe. This research aims to analyze knowledge, attitudes, and practices profile of Food and Beverage Service Activities about product safety and halal, the quality of drinking water regarding heavy metal contamination and microbiological contamination regulation in Lebak Siliwangi Subdistrict which is closely related to product safety and halal. Analysis the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices using a cross-sectional method. Testing heavy metal levels using the Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy method and microbiological contamination using the 3M Petrifilm E. coli/Coliform Count Plate method, as well as determining Food and Beverage Service Activities who have qualified the Halal Product Process by observation. The results of this study showed that 36.25% of respondents (n = 29) had a good level of knowledge and 96.25% of respondents (n = 77) had a positive attitude; and as many as 62.5% of respondents had neutral practices about the safety and halal of food and beverage. The results of the inferential analysis showed a significant difference between the dimensions of knowledge and the latest education (p = 0.025) and a positive correlation relationship was found between the knowledge and attitude dimensions (p = 0.029). All drinking water samples have qualified heavy metal levels. All samples have unqualified microbiological contamination, except for one sample with BPOM permission in bottled form. In addition, only 27% of Food and Beverage Service Activities (n = 22) have qualified the Halal Product Process.
