This study aims to assess the physical fitness level of school students at three levels elementary, junior high, and senior high from various districts/cities in West Java. Method: This was a cross-sectional observational study conducted in 27 schools from districts/cities in West Java in collaboration with the National Physical Education Teachers Association (IGORNAS) using a random sampling method. Data collection techniques involved initially socializing IGORNAS representatives about the Databugar site and the forms of physical fitness tests used. The instruments used to measure physical fitness levels in this study included a muscular endurance test, body mass index, and aerobic capacity test. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics, normality tests, and one-way ANOVA to identify differences between districts/cities or overall. Results: Data were obtained from 1,378 students comprising 9 elementary schools, 10 junior high schools, and 9 senior high schools. The data indicated that the average physical fitness level of school students in West Java was still below the standard used, especially in the results of the muscular endurance pull-up test and the aerobic capacity test. Significant differences were found between several schools at each level. Conclusion: The physical fitness level of school students in West Java, based on the sample, is relatively low compared to the existing fitness standards. It can also be said that their physical activity level is low, posing a high risk of degenerative diseases. text
