Description
Summary:Prolanis or Program Pengelolaan Penyakit Kronis implemented by BPJS Kesehatan at community health centers is an effort to overcome chronic diseases which have a high prevalence in Indonesia. The success of patient treatment in this program depends on patient compliance in attending the program and taking medication. On the other hand, there may be obstacles for patients to adhere to Prolanis, such as out-of-pocket costs. The aim of this study was to evaluate patient out-of-pocket costs and their relationship to the quality of life and compliance of Prolanis patients at community health centers in Bandung. This research used a descriptive-observational method with a cross-sectional approach and was conducted at several community health centers in Bandung city using questionnaires to measure costs, quality of life (EQ-5D-5L), and compliance (ARMS-12). The data obtained were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney and Spearman's Correlation tests. This research shows that there is an association between quality of life scores and gender characteristics, final education, the presence of comorbidities, and respondents' obstacles in participating in routine Prolanis activities. Apart from that, there is an association between compliance with the characteristics of the respondent's employment status, number of family members in one household, and obstacles in participating in routine Prolanis activities. There is no correlation between respondents' total out-of-pocket costs and compliance. However, there was a weak and negative correlation between compliance and quality of life as well as total out-of-pocket costs and quality of life. ?
