Summary:Humans and the need for residential space have an inevitable relationship. The limited availability of space influences the emergence of slums as a global phenomenon. In this context, Indonesia, especially Bandung City, with the highest population density in West Java, faces serious challenges related to slums. This research aims to analyze and design the arrangement of slum areas in one of the areas in Bandung City, namely RW 5 and RW 11 Cibangkong Village using the vertical land consolidation method. The data collection method used is primary data related to observations and interviews and secondary data collection. Then the analysis method used in this research includes qualitative descriptive analysis of slum identification in the area, physical conditions and area response design, analysis of vertical land consolidation calculations, and design analysis related to illustration of the design of flats resulting from vertical land consolidation. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the research location, namely RW 5 and RW 11 Cibangkong Village, has an inadequate residential environment so that it is necessary to organize the area using the vertical land consolidation method. Then based on the results of the vertical land consolidation calculation, there is compensation for 531 units of owned apartments in land area B and 1.083 units of rental apartments in land area A, as well as 3,57 ha of equity land for investment in land area C. Furthermore, in the financing scheme for the construction of type B apartments, it is known that the cost required to convert land into one unit of ownership is Rp. 626.200.525,83
