Description
Summary:The construction project of Terminal 3 at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport is one of the government’s strategies to facilitate international flights and help minimize congestion at the existing terminal, which is deemed to have inadequate capacity. The design of this terminal project is based on architectural drawings that were transformed into structural documents before the construction commenced. The superstructure of Terminal 3 at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport comprises three floors, with a length of 300 meters, a width of 212.5 meters, and a maximum roof height of 29.2 meters. The structural system used for the main framework of the airport terminal building is a special moment-resisting reinforced concrete frame system (SRPMK). The main frame of the airport terminal structure is modeled using ETABS software. The design for various structural components refers to SNI 1727:2020, SNI 1726:2019, and SNI 2847:2019. Additionally, a design was carried out for the additional reinforcement requirements due to creep and shrinkage loads, as this building is classified as a large-span structure. The result of the upper structure design of this airport terminal is the dimensioning and detailing of structural element reinforcement according to the existing regulations.
