Ensuring the efficiency and quality of transportation services requires a comprehensive regional development approach to achieve balanced and equitable growth, in line with national development goals. However, the construction of toll roads often faces geotechnical challenges due to unstable soil characteristics, necessitating special treatment to enhance soil bearing capacity and stability. This study aims to analyze soil improvement using the rigid inclusion method in the Serang-Panimbang toll road construction project, where the existing soil is soft and prone to significant deformation under heavy loads. The soil improvement method adheres to SNI 8460:2017 and involves various configurations of spacing, length, and embankment height. Embankment Height: An 8-meter-high embankment is more suitable for various configurations due to its more linear settlement response, making it more effective when configuration changes are implemented. Geotextile: The comparison between models with and without geotextile shows that although there is no significant difference in settlement, geotextile use significantly improves safety factors and stability, particularly in reducing lateral deformation of columns. Configuration Impact: Increasing spacing, length, and embankment height configurations significantly affects soil settlement, with spacing increasing settlement by 33.88%, length by 5.52%, and embankment height by 5.17%. In conclusion, the rigid inclusion method is effective in resisting axial loads and reducing lateral deformation with the addition of reinforcement in the columns to anticipate lateral, bending, and tensile forces.. text |
