This is due to the numerous incidents occurring in the vicinity of Pekalongan Beach. Pekalongan, an area located in Central Java, Indonesia, faces significant issues such as erosion and land subsidence. As a result, the distance between the coastline and residential areas have become very close, making them vulnerable to tidal flooding. Based on these issues, structural efforts are needed to restore the area to make new land area behind the structure. Therefore, structural measures are necessary. One of the measures is the construction of breakwaters. The purpose of these structure is to protect the coastline from destructive waves and to retain sediment carried from the open sea to the coastline area. The construction of these structures involves hydrodynamic phenomena modelling using a combination of Delft3D-Flow models and Delft3D-Wave models. Input data such as bathymetry and DEM using National Bathymetry and DEMNAS datasets are required. Input data aspects include tidal fluctuations from OSU TPXO 8.1 and wind data from ECMWF. Erosion is identified through previous research, which is also taken into account in the modelling. The modelling is conducted in three structure scenarios with the existing conditions. Therefore, the influence of coastal restoration in the form of breakwater structures in front of Pekalongan Beach is analyzed at the observation points. text
