Summary: | Infrastructure in Indonesia continues to develop until now, resulting in the presence of many buildings and structures designed according to SNI 1726:2002, which may face various structural deficiencies in terms of earthquake resistance. Considering Indonesia's earthquake-prone areas, evaluation and improvement of these buildings are crucial to ensure the safety of their occupants. The use of RSNI XXXX:20XX (ASCE 41-17) as an evaluation method offers a comprehensive approach to assess the seismic performance of existing buildings. In this study, irregularities in geometry, non-compliance with plate layering standards, precast frames, and shear stresses on columns were identified through Tier 1 analysis. Furthermore, Tier 3 analysis using Linear Static Procedure (LSP) identified that many structural elements such as beams, columns, connections, and shear walls did not meet acceptance criteria for flexural and shear capacities under BSE-1E and BSE-2E earthquake loads. Nonlinear Static Procedure (NSP) also indicated elements at risk of collapse in columns. The objective of this evaluation is to formulate retrofit strategies that can enhance the flexural capacity, shear capacity, and ductility of structures, thereby strengthening them against potential earthquake damage. The analysis results confirm the necessity for targeted retrofit actions to improve the seismic resistance of buildings. |
