Summary:As a single special state own enterprise that provides electric power, PT PLN (Persero) is always demanded to run the business with high level of reliability, availability, and continuity. Besides, company will continue striving to meet the highest efficiency and service level agreement. This is relevant to the company’s visions: becoming a world class company, growing fast, having excellent performance and trust-worthy, and winning through people. Even more today than in the past, the company’s performance is impacted by the effectiveness of its human resource management. This is why PT PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Barat dan Banten started to arrange a training program in preparing its appropriate employees for new job namely ‘Manajer UPJ’. One of the important aspects of training program is assessment. Company uses assessment tools to perform selection, to find out whether the participants have mastered training materials and to ensure if participants have achieved the required competency level. Assessment reliability and predictive validity are two technical properties of an assessment quality and usefulness of the assessment. Management strongly hopes assessment results can be considered as good predictors of training performance and job performance.
